Project Description Will be posted soon. Project Photos Will be posted soon. Initial Comments, Ideas, and Design Considerations by Sara Clymer (saraclymer@mailcity.com), Interior Designer Wesley Work Room The walls could be painted a soft coffee color while the brick grout would be a shade lighter than the bricks. Red curtains and a possible red accent wall would add energy and interest to the space. Wesley Lounge The paneling should be stained a rich mahogany while dado paneling will give the room a sense of grandeur. There would be crown molding at the ceiling and a chair rail to break up the large wall space. Other molding will be added where the seems of the existing paneling are. A red rug and red curtains to bring out the red of the Wesley Methodist sign. New comfortable and traditional furniture could also be added. Wesley Hall Should have a number of fold down beds and a storage unit for all tables and chairs to hide the clutter. The walls may be painted the same as in the Wesley work room. There also could be red curtains to tie all the rooms together into the central Wesley theme. Conceptual Plans are posted below.
*Tell us what you think about the design plans. We welcome all of your comments and suggestions. Comments: By Roy Hucke May 8th, 2003
I think this may help in the Wesley Lounge. Move the Pop machine out into the church hallway, west of where it sits now. Get rid of the lockers/coat rack ( as there is already a coat rack in the new entrance hallway),and put in their place some high top tables with bar stools/chairs (Preferably chairs with a back on them). Also, I really like the interior design ideas! Having the brick grout color lighter than the bricks will really make it look nice and new and different! Red curtains will also be fabulous to tie all of the Wesley rooms together, in place of the crappy plastic blinds we have now. Just to add, I also like option B a lot better than option A. Roy, your suggestions are indicated in the new plan option C. Thanks for the input!
